Fatima is actually another name for the same Arabian goddess. Modern Jews call it the Hand of Miriam. But both use this goddess-hand for the same thing, to ward off the evil eye.

Mohammed, author of the Koran, originally recognized Fatima, Allat and two other goddesses. He even wrote about them in the Koran.
