Seminary Course for Ordained Minister Candidates

Upon Completion of this minister course you may receive a Bachelor of Divinity degree from the Esoteric Theological Seminary and Ordination as a Minister from the Esoteric Interfaith Church, Inc. (Remember, if you just want to become a minister to perform a wedding or weddings, you may pursue our easier Licensed Minister option which doesn't require the classes below). Transcripts are also available upon completion.

Complete these Online Classes:

• The Meaning of Ordination Around the World (Read text for this lesson: "Ordination")
• Intro to Ministry (What it means to be Clergy, fundamentals of Ministering & Ministry)
• Intro to Interfaith, Omnifaith Ministry & Non-Denominational Ministry (Two things to read for this lesson: "Interfaith" and "Non-denominational Christianity"and a fun online survey to take). Strongly Recommended: Order a copy of the Interfaith Minister Manual from our Seminary bookstore.
• Homiletics: Preaching & Sermons (Read text for this lesson: "The Sermon")
• Exegesis & Hermeneutics: Cracking the Code of the World's Sacred Texts (Check out world scriptures and see how humans have long attempted to discern their message and hidden meaning. Read two articles for this lesson: "Exegesis" and "Hermeneutics")
• Ministers & Counseling
• Minister Ethics
• OPTIONAL COURSE: Order the book Inner Christianity: A Guide to the Esoteric Tradition, described in our tenets of faith page (which you should also read). It is the only book you will need for the ordination course, because all other "textbooks" are webpages online. Once you have the book, please complete this set of lessons based upon it. (Note: Since we truly are an "omnifaith" Interfaith Seminary and Church, this class is optional. If you are Jewish or of another non-Christian persuasion, you may ask for a substitute class. Gnostics, New Agers and Metaphysicians you should still take this class since the textbook is written by legendary Gnosis Magazine editor Richard Smoley, and covers everything from the Rosicrucians to Blavatsky to Divine Feminine to the modern New Age Movement.
