For example.  A rock inscription at Adumattu, Arabia, reads, “May Allat (Goddess) grant every wish.” Ancient Arabs would seal oaths with the vow, "By the salt, By the fire, and by Al-Lat who is the greatest of all." Another inscription says: “Shalm-Allat.” Peace of Goddess -- similar to Peace of God be with you.  A hand of blessing would be held up while saying Shalm-Allat.
